 Perfect fit for Samsung monitor, but needed extra nuts & washers. July 27, 2010

This bracket was required to mount my Samsung HD monitor to am extension arm for my desktop. It fits perfectly and solidly into the slot on the bottom of the monitor. Here is a real tip: Do not slide the monitor onto the mounting bracket until you have screwed the bracket in place on the wall or wherever. It is VERY hard to take back off once you've put it into the monitor slot. But, it sure is a solid fit once it is in place.
I attached the monitor onto an Ergotron desktop arm to be able to adjust for viewing in our computer room. The supplied screws are only for mounting into a wall, so I needed washers and nuts from the hardware store to attach it to the desktop arm.
This is a necessary piece of equipment for mounting the Samsung monitor. But it really should have been included originally, since the monitor design does not have VESA setup on the back.

This adapter does what it was designed for. I had to drill the holes bigger on the wall mount that I bought. The wall mount I purchased was the cheapest thing I could find on Ebay. I don't think this is necessary for all mounts. Anyway, the adapter and mount are holding the TV up just fine.

This is what is missing for the tv to be great. The item itself is exactly what you need to hand your tv/monitor on the wall. I used a movable mount to place it in my kids room and the Kid loved it!

This product is In fact, exactly what you need to mount the new wave of huge samsung LCD monitors/TVs (specifically the T260-HD in my case) to VESA mounts.
There were no instructions included with the device, so ill save you the time of figuring out how to install it.
You have to pull the LCD stand out and away from the tv, quite forcefully in order to dislodge the stand from the tv.
After doing this you will find a narrow slot just large enough for the tab (of the VESA mount) at the bottom of the tv mount, having thus found these points of reference, you stick the tab into the slot and push quite forcefully until the VESA mount no longer budges.
The idea is that gravity will keep the tv from flying off the mount (much like the other stand mount as well).
Overall I am very satisfied with this VESA mount, as it fits my monitor arm at the foot of my bed.

I'm using this with a 26" Samsung LCD HDTV and a 20" articulating arm. This is solidly constructed and will not be a point of failure in a articulating arm system wall mounted or otherwise.
