| Customer Reviews: Very Nice Monitor Arms May 9, 2010 Mike Geppert (Dallas, TX USA) Very nice quality. Easy to setup. Easy to use.
The only thing I can knock is that the arms need some room in the back. I have a desk that is up against a wall so the monitors end up being closer because of the arms in the back.
Good choice if you need a dual monitor solution March 4, 2010 DigitalMan (Denver, CO) The review should really begin once past the decision to go with a dual monitor solution and not be on the merits of such a solution. Suffice it to say I decided I needed to do this so after looking at alot of articulating arm options I settled on this one. Install was of moderate complexity. I found the most challenging part to be adjusting the tension to get it just right so that the monitors would stay in a fixed position but would also be easy to move. The tension comes pretty tight so that your monitors don't come crashing down when first installing them, which is a good thing, but then adjusting tension once the monitors were installed took some dexterity. The construction is solid, high quality metal. The casing on the arm sections is plastic though and while trying to grip the arm while adjusting the tension post monitor attachment the plastic piece came off in my hand and was a bit difficult to re-attach. Once installed and the appropriate level of tension set this setup is rock solid, and I highly recommend it. The unit came very well packed and protected. The installation instructions were a 6 on a scale of 1-10 in terms of clarity, that mainly being because there are several attachment options and it took some studying of the instructions to figure out which starting point applied to my situation. My only recommendation is that if at all possible I would recommend drilling a hole in the desk to mount this rather than clamping it onto the edge of the desk. My first attempt was the clamp configuration and with the weight of my two monitors it just didn't feel steady. Fortunately I already had a cable access hole drilled into the top of my desk and I was able to use that. The only caution with this is I would recommend using the clamp install first to make sure you know where to properly drill the hole...if you miss you will be frustrated by not being able to get the monitors into the exact position you want.
In all a couple of minor issues but a solution and product I can recommend.
Excellent, super good January 6, 2010 Richard Okagbue (Kansas City, USA) I've had this now for a year, it continues to hold up my two 23" LCD monitors strongly. Awesome!
Great Device May 11, 2009 Samuel L. Schad (New Albany, IN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had owned some Ergotron monitor arms before, but this one takes the cake. I have two HP w2408h 24" monitors, and it handles both of them quite well. I use the monitors for cloned screens so that clients can see what I am typing on forms. So I'm constantly moving them around. No problem at all, and the unit is attractive to boot. Worth every penny.
