Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Linksys' Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router is actually three devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect to the network without wires. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Finally, the Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection.

5 out of 5 stars very good price for very good router   March 11, 2010
Ashley L. Rekem
My apartment is small, but the signal is the same anywhere in the apartment. I have version 3. The set up literally took 2 minutes. The only inconvenience was that there were some settings on my computer that needed to be adjusted for the signal to connect properly, but after that it works consistently and great. I have no issues with the product.

5 out of 5 stars Works as flawlessly as I'd hoped   March 11, 2010

I upgraded to this router from a Linksys wireless-g router and I am extremely pleased. I was wary of it being a refurbished item but now that I have it and it is in use, I feel that this was a killer deal. It arrived within a 3 days of ordering it, even with the free super shipper delivery option. The range, signal strength and speed all have increased dramatically in comparison. I have set up and/or modified my home network several times in the past and implementing this device was as simple as any. Not a single complaint =)

1 out of 5 stars Nothing but problems   March 10, 2010
. (San Francisco, CA)
I am a big fan of Cisco products and had several previous versions of the Linksys router. However, the 160N is substandard.

My computer is approximately 10 feet away from my 160N, and it loses signal at least once an hour. At the same time, my computer is able to see all of the other wireless routers in my neighborhood.

However, my 160N died today. No more wireless signal - and it's only been 2 months since I bought it. For the first time in years, I am looking at an altnernative that is not Cisco.

2 out of 5 stars Find a differant one.   March 10, 2010

It's not a very good router. I've owned better. Their customer service sucks cause your always on hold cause everyone who bought their stuff is calling them to fix it. Look for a differant brand and save yourself the trouble. I'm getting tired of reseting this one every day.

5 out of 5 stars Great for the price   March 10, 2010

Was very easy to get loaded and started. We do not have N products (only G). Found you do have to optimize to G on setup and choose channel 6 or 8. Basically works my whole house.. On second floor and works with the PS3 on the basement. For the price, this is an incredible buy.
